About the Role
This position is ideal for a highly skilled Technical 3D Artist with strong expertise in real-time asset creation, optimization, and interactive visualization. The role requires close collaboration with developers, designers, and creative teams to produce production-ready 3D assets that balance visual quality and performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing 3D content for interactive web experiences, product visualization, and real-time rendering environments while contributing to visual quality, artistic direction, and technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality 3D models optimized for real-time rendering environments
Perform high-to-low poly retopology with a focus on efficient topology and performance optimization
Develop high-quality visual presentation through:
Cost-effective lighting techniques
HDRI and environment mapping workflows
Material and shader optimization
Texture baking and texture packing processes
Color management best practices
Optimize asset size and performance through efficient use of normal maps, instancing, and asset optimization techniques
Maintain visual consistency and quality across rendered and interactive experiences
Contribute to artistic direction with attention to realism, detail, and visual polish
Collaborate closely with developers and designers to ensure smooth integration of assets into rendering engines and production pipelines
Support asset development for interactive applications, configurators, and visualization projects
Balance visual fidelity with web and real-time performance requirements
Required Qualifications
3D Art & Visualization
Strong professional experience in 3D modeling, preferably with hard-surface assets
Expertise in look development for real-time rendering environments
Solid understanding of UV mapping, PBR workflows, and texture optimization techniques
Experience with retopology for complex assets, including product visualization, automotive, or technical models
Experience with rigging and animation workflows
Technical Skills
Knowledge of web-based 3D technologies and frameworks such as:
Three.js
React Three Fiber
Babylon.js
A-Frame
PlayCanvas
Experience working with GLSL or other shader programming languages
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on technical implementation and performance considerations
Understanding of web performance constraints, including:
Draw calls
Texture memory optimization
Polygon count management
Knowledge of real-time rendering pipelines and how they differ from offline rendering workflows
Experience using version control systems such as Git
Experience creating assets for interactive applications, configurators, or product visualization solutions
