What the Job Entails
As Associate Brand Strategy Director, you will develop strategies that connect global brand direction with local consumer insight to unlock growth for assigned automotive brands. You will translate business objectives into desired human actions, identify the motivations behind consumer behavior, and uncover compelling opportunities for creative and communications work.
You will lead brand strategy development, write creative briefs, and guide the creation and presentation of integrated campaigns, including pitches. The role includes developing customer journeys and go-to-market blueprints, defining communication tasks and touchpoints, and establishing KPIs.
You will also design research programs, lead projects involving brand purpose and architecture, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and provide strategic leadership across the agency. In addition, you will coach strategists and junior team members while building trusted, influential relationships with clients and creative partners.
Key Requirements
Strong experience developing brand and communications strategies, creative briefs, customer journeys, and go-to-market plans.
Solid command of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including selecting appropriate approaches for business challenges, consumer insight, concept testing, and post-campaign analysis.
Ability to translate business goals into clear consumer actions and identify the human motivations that can unlock growth.
Understanding of how media and communications channels work together across the consumer journey, including the definition of communication tasks and KPIs.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with curiosity about human behavior, culture, trends, and creative work.
Proven ability to work directly with clients, build trusted relationships, and influence their thinking about brand and business opportunities.
Experience collaborating across creative, media, account, technology, and other specialist teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop strategists and junior colleagues while maintaining high standards of strategic quality.
A track record of contributing thought leadership in areas such as strategy, communications, culture, brands, or technology.
