This position partners closely with business leaders to drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with labor regulations, and support organizational growth initiatives.
Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR support across compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR operations, workforce planning, and organizational initiatives. The role will act as a trusted partner to management while ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits
Manage annual performance review and compensation review processes.
Lead salary benchmarking and market compensation analysis.
Oversee monthly headcount and personnel cost reporting.
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with business and finance stakeholders.
Conduct personnel cost analysis and workforce planning activities.
Maintain data accuracy across HR and finance systems.
Prepare monthly workforce and personnel cost reports, including variance and trend analysis.
Monitor HR metrics including turnover, productivity, and workforce efficiency.
Develop ad hoc reports and analytics to support management decision-making.
Employee Relations
Partner with managers and employees to provide HR guidance and support.
Advise management on employee relations matters including disciplinary actions, grievances, absences, contract changes, and workplace concerns.
Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with labor laws and industry best practices.
Support employee separation processes while minimizing organizational risk.
Draft and update HR policies in response to regulatory and business changes.
Participate in HR projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
HR Operations
Evaluate and improve HR processes and workflows.
Leverage digital tools and automation to increase operational efficiency.
Design and implement streamlined HR business processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across HR operations.
General Affairs & Business Support
Oversee administrative support functions and office operations.
Coordinate facility management and workplace services.
Support health and safety initiatives and emergency response processes.
Manage workplace-related administrative programs and employee support activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above.
Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience.
Experience in employee relations and labor law compliance.
Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits administration.
Experience managing HR data, reporting, budgeting, and workforce planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent Japanese and English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within luxury retail, consumer goods, fashion, or related industries.
Experience supporting multi-functional business environments.
Familiarity with HR digitalization and process automation initiatives.
Experience partnering closely with senior leadership teams.
