Overview

A global medical device organization is seeking a Clinical Education & Training Specialist to support education initiatives within the endoscopy and infection control field. The role focuses on clinical training, stakeholder engagement, product support, and educational program development across the Japan market.

This position works closely with healthcare professionals, distributors, internal commercial teams, and global education functions to support product adoption and safe clinical practices.

Position Summary

The Clinical Education & Training Specialist will lead the planning and execution of training programs related to endoscope operation, reprocessing procedures, infection prevention, and product usage. The role combines educational program management, clinical support, and stakeholder engagement within a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Education Strategy
  • Develop annual education and training plans for the Japan market

  • Create training programs focused on endoscope operation, reprocessing procedures, infection control, and safety

  • Develop educational materials including manuals, videos, and e-learning content

  • Ensure training programs align with PMDA requirements and Japanese industry standards

Training Delivery
  • Conduct on-site, online, workshop, and wet lab training sessions

  • Deliver training to physicians, nurses, hospital staff, and distributors

  • Provide internal product training to sales and service teams

  • Support product evaluations, trials, and adoption activities

  • Monitor training effectiveness and maintain training records

KOL & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in endoscopy and infection control

  • Collaborate with medical associations and training institutions

  • Co-organize academic events and educational initiatives

  • Collect customer feedback and share market insights internally

Regulatory & Standards Support
  • Stay informed on Japanese regulations and reprocessing guidelines

  • Participate in standards-related activities and committees when required

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Support product launches and strategic customer accounts

  • Assist commercial teams with clinical demonstrations and procedural support

  • Participate in trade shows, seminars, and educational events

  • Collaborate with regional and global education teams

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical, healthcare, or related field

Experience
  • Strong background in GI endoscopy and reprocessing procedures

  • Experience working within multinational organizations preferred

  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Experience managing relationships with KOLs and healthcare stakeholders

Skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities

  • Project management skills

  • Business-level English proficiency

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capability
