What the job entails
As Chief Technology Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organisation’s technology function. You will define and implement a technology strategy aligned with business priorities, ensuring that technology investment, delivery and operations support sustainable organisational performance.
Your responsibilities will include leading technology teams and initiatives, overseeing delivery and operational effectiveness, and ensuring that technology capabilities evolve in line with organisational needs. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into practical technology plans, while maintaining appropriate focus on security, performance, resilience and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time executive opportunity based in Tokyo, offering the chance to shape technology direction and lead strategic change across the organisation.
Key requirements
Senior-level experience in technology leadership, ideally as a Chief Technology Officer or in a comparable executive position.
A proven track record of developing and implementing technology strategies aligned with organisational and commercial objectives.
Experience leading technology teams, building effective organisational structures and developing senior-level talent.
Demonstrable experience overseeing technology delivery, operations and strategic transformation.
The ability to connect technology priorities with wider business goals and communicate complex matters clearly to senior stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence decision-making at executive level.
Sound judgement, strategic thinking and a practical, results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Experience overseeing technology performance, security, resilience and operational effectiveness.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Willingness and ability to work full-time in Tokyo, Japan.
