What the Job Entails
As a Data AI Platform Engineer, you will design and build AI-enabled enterprise solutions in complex and ambiguous client environments. You will translate business challenges into practical technical solutions, assess whether AI is the right approach, and deliver prototypes, MVPs, and business applications.
Your responsibilities will include designing scalable and secure cloud architectures; developing backend services, APIs, data pipelines, automation workflows, and user-facing applications; and integrating AI capabilities with enterprise data, existing systems, and business processes. You will apply technologies such as large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, document processing, forecasting, recommendation, and optimization where they can create meaningful value.
You will work closely with client stakeholders, consultants, and engineering teams, contributing to workshops, technical discussions, demonstrations, delivery planning, solution estimation, and reusable architecture patterns.
Key Requirements
7+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, data engineering, machine learning engineering, or a related technology role.
Strong hands-on experience with backend development, API design, system integration, cloud-native development, or enterprise application engineering.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering client-facing or business-critical technology solutions.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and production readiness.
Professional experience with at least one public cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ability to translate business outcomes into technical requirements, architecture options, delivery plans, and working prototypes.
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, engineers, consultants, and client IT teams.
Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Comfort working with ambiguity, taking ownership, and making sound technical decisions with incomplete requirements.
Experience with applied AI, data platforms, automation, enterprise search, analytics, or software products is highly valued.
Familiarity with LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, MLOps, LLMOps, CI/CD, observability, Python, TypeScript, FastAPI, React, containers, or serverless technologies is advantageous.
