What the job entails
The Demand Planner will play a key role in shaping accurate, consensus-based demand plans for the Fragrance & Beauty business in Japan. This position is responsible for building and maintaining SKU- and channel-level forecasts, monitoring forecast accuracy and bias, and translating market signals, commercial plans, and historical performance into actionable planning assumptions.
Working within the monthly S&OP cycle, the role will prepare analysis and materials that support cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, and global supply chain teams. The Demand Planner will help identify risks and opportunities, improve visibility into demand across channels, and support better decision-making through data analysis and clear communication. The role also contributes to inventory optimization, service level management, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening planning discipline, reducing volatility, and supporting business growth.
Key requirements / What we look for
University degree or higher
3+ years of experience in demand and supply planning
Background in beauty, fashion, or FMCG
Strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude
Advanced Excel skills; Power Pivot and SQL a plus
Business-level English and cross-functional communication skills
