What the job entails
The Director of Development will lead the full real estate development lifecycle, overseeing projects from feasibility and design through construction, handover, and completion. Reporting to the Head of Real Estate Development, this role is responsible for ensuring that multiple projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with organizational strategy.
Day to day, the Director will manage project planning, resource allocation, tendering, documentation, and quality control while monitoring schedules, costs, and risks. The role also requires strong oversight of compliance and regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders. In addition, the Director will lead and coordinate a team of development professionals, consultants, and other project contributors to ensure successful execution across new construction and rehabilitation projects.
Key requirements / What we look for
15–20 years of experience in real estate development
Proven track record of successful project delivery
Bilingual in English and Japanese
Degree in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Building Engineering
