Overview

A fast-growing global technology company specializing in AI-driven solutions for professional services is seeking an Engineering Manager for a new product initiative. The company operates internationally and leverages advanced technologies such as large language models to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions.

This role focuses on leading a development team, driving product delivery, and fostering both team and individual growth in a dynamic and scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development teams to deliver product features and drive product growth

  • Manage project planning, task allocation, and progress tracking

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and technical leads on product direction and feasibility

  • Facilitate problem-solving and technical discussions within the engineering team

  • Define and execute development roadmaps (balancing feature delivery, tech debt, and investment)

  • Remove blockers and optimize team performance and development environment

  • Mentor and develop engineers through 1:1s, reviews, and coaching

  • Support hiring and performance evaluation processes

Requirements

  • Experience in software development (any programming language)

  • Experience managing product development teams

  • 5+ years of web service development experience (or equivalent)

  • 1+ year of experience in system operation and maintenance

  • Business-level Japanese (N1 equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (PM, design, sales)

  • Experience in domain modeling for complex systems

  • UX-focused application design experience

  • Experience in risk management for products and teams

  • Experience as a Product Owner

  • Experience in B2B product development and operations

  • Experience in prioritization across feature development, tech debt, and investment

  • Experience improving engineering team performance through structured initiatives

Working Conditions

  • Full-flex working hours (no core time) or discretionary work system

  • Hybrid work (fully remote not available)

  • Standard working hours with 1-hour break

  • 3-month probation period

  • 機能開発・技術負債・技術投資のバランスを考慮したロードマップ策定・実行

  • チームの障害要因を取り除き、開発効率の最大化

  • 1on1やレビューを通じたメンバー育成・コーチング

  • 採用・評価プロセスへの関与

  • ソフトウェア開発経験（言語不問）

  • プロダクト開発チームのマネジメント経験

  • Webサービス開発経験5年以上

  • システム運用・保守経験1年以上

  • 日本語（N1相当）
