What the job entails
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with financial institutions to design and implement solutions using generative AI, large language models, cloud technologies, and modern application architectures. You will combine engineering, architecture, and consulting to take initiatives from problem definition and proof of concept through development, validation, and production deployment.
You will translate complex and sometimes ambiguous business challenges into clear technical requirements, architectures, and implementation plans. Your responsibilities will include leading technical implementations, designing and executing AI-focused proofs of concept, developing customer-specific applications, evaluating technology trade-offs, and conducting technical reviews.
You will also support the modernization of legacy systems and collaborate with customer and internal stakeholders to build consensus around technical decisions. Insights from client engagements will contribute to the ongoing evolution of the company’s technology solutions and product strategy.
Key requirements
Experience developing web applications, enterprise applications, or business systems, including architecture design, technology selection, and implementation.
Strong hands-on experience with application or system design and software development.
Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders to understand complex challenges and translate them into technical requirements.
Experience evaluating technical trade-offs and contributing to architecture or technology decisions.
Experience developing applications, proofs of concept, or business improvements using generative AI and/or large language models.
Ability to communicate technical concepts and decisions clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to build consensus and coordinate effectively across customers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
Experience taking technical initiatives from concept or proof of concept through implementation and production deployment.
Experience with enterprise architecture, legacy modernization, cloud migration, security, authentication, authorization, or network architecture is highly valued.
Experience in financial services, large enterprises, or client-facing technical consulting is advantageous.
