What the Job Entails
As an FDE Consultant, you will help major organizations design and implement business transformation enabled by generative AI. You will work directly with executives and business teams to identify high-value opportunities, define strategic priorities, and carry initiatives through implementation and adoption.
Your responsibilities will span the full engagement lifecycle, including business and issue definition, AI agent requirements gathering, proof-of-concept development, internal-system integration, and client capability building. You will collaborate closely with clients to translate business processes into practical prompts, workflows, and systems. Coding experience is not required; the role emphasizes structured thinking, business judgment, and the ability to use modern development tools effectively.
You will also support in-house AI talent development, promote adoption across departments, and identify opportunities to expand impact within existing client organizations. This is an onsite, permanent role with substantial client interaction and end-to-end ownership.
Key Requirements
Experience managing projects and client relationships at the manager level or above in a strategy consulting environment.
Strong ability to structure complex business issues, develop practical recommendations, and guide clients through implementation.
Demonstrated commitment to client outcomes, with the ability to work hands-on rather than limiting involvement to strategic advice.
Ability to understand business, consulting, sales, and technology perspectives and connect them into an integrated transformation plan.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including confidence working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
A growth mindset and genuine interest in applying generative AI to create measurable business value.
Experience in financial-services sales or business strategy, particularly in insurance or securities, is highly valued.
Experience in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, digital transformation, system implementation, or PMO projects is a plus.
Experience proposing and implementing solutions using AI or digital technologies is advantageous.
Web-development experience with Python or similar languages is welcome but not required.
Ability to work onsite in Tokyo and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability consulting environment.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, technology, engineering, or a related field.
