A globally recognized outdoor footwear brand is seeking a Sales Field Specialist to support wholesale business expansion and strengthen brand presence across Japan. This role focuses on developing new sales channels, managing outdoor retail partnerships, and driving promotional activities within resort and outdoor markets.
Position Summary
The Sales Field Specialist will work closely with the Sales Field Assistant Manager to develop new wholesale channels and manage existing outdoor retail accounts. The role focuses on expanding brand presence in resort areas, driving sales growth, executing promotional activities, and delivering the KEEN brand story to new customers through events, exhibitions, and field sales initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
Drive sales expansion through new channel development and management of existing outdoor wholesale accounts
Manage assigned existing and new accounts, including sales performance and promotional initiatives
Promote brand awareness and sales activities within resort areas and outdoor retail stores
Build relationships with resort-area communities and tourism associations
Plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and brand activations
Present products, secure orders, and support customer engagement during exhibitions and trade shows
Analyze sales performance, sell-through data, market trends, and competitor activity to improve business performance
Develop strategic promotional proposals based on market and sales analysis
Support visual merchandising, inventory management, and fixture proposals within resort facilities and outdoor stores
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external business partners
Expected Growth & Leadership Criteria
Develop and lead trade marketing strategies that connect brand value with business performance
Utilize sell-through analysis, market insights, and competitor analysis to optimize sales strategies
Build repeatable sales growth models and strengthen brand presentation consistency
Lead cross-functional collaboration and take ownership of business results
Contribute strategically beyond field sales execution into broader commercial and brand initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of wholesale sales experience in new channel development, account development, or outdoor-related corporate sales
Hands-on experience within the outdoor or sports industry with strong understanding of market trends
Experience launching new business channels or proposing new business initiatives
Experience in resort facilities including store management, inventory control, VMD, and fixture proposals
Experience contributing to sales growth and brand awareness through events and promotions
Strong commitment to achieving goals with logical and persistent problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Strong documentation and analytical skills using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to safely drive on snowy roads
Strong passion for outdoor culture, sustainability, environmental initiatives, and the KEEN brand

JPY 4,000,000 – 6,000,000 annually
Working Hours
Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Flextime system available
