Position Overview

The Semiconductor Field Engineer will be responsible for supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and technical support activities at customer sites.

This position requires close communication with domestic and international customers, engineering partners, and semiconductor manufacturers, with Korean language capability being a key requirement. The role offers opportunities to work within a global semiconductor environment and participate in international projects.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Installation & Technical Support

  • Start up semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer facilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and operation

  • Perform equipment setup, commissioning, and operational verification

  • Support loading, unloading, transportation, and installation activities

  • Manage equipment configuration and operational readiness

Customer & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate technical discussions primarily in Korean with domestic and international customers

  • Communicate with overseas engineering companies regarding project requirements and technical matters

  • Support project execution through cross-border collaboration

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and technical partners

Technical Consulting & Business Development

  • Visit semiconductor manufacturing sites to understand customer challenges and technical requirements

  • Assess customer needs and propose technical solutions

  • Visit overseas engineering partners to understand technical capabilities and align project execution

  • Support new business development initiatives

  • Participate in general field engineering and technical support activities as required

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or above

Experience

  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or CVD equipment

  • Equipment start-up and troubleshooting experience

  • Technical support or field engineering experience within the semiconductor industry

Language Requirements

  • Korean communication skills required

  • Ability to handle technical conversations and technical email correspondence in Korean

Technical Skills

  • Semiconductor equipment installation and commissioning

  • Troubleshooting and technical problem-solving

  • Customer-facing technical support

  • Equipment maintenance and operational support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Semiconductor equipment start-up and troubleshooting experience

  • Knowledge and experience with CVD equipment

  • English communication skills

  • Experience working in multinational technical environments

Working Hours

9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • 8 working hours per day

  • 60-minute lunch break

  • Average overtime: approximately 10 hours per month

Additional Assignment Location

  • Yokkaichi, Mie may be assigned depending on business requirements and project needs
