Role Overview
A rapidly growing fintech company is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and expansion of digital payout and merchant settlement systems. This role focuses on designing compliant financial processes, building partner integrations, and driving product performance in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product & System Development
Define requirements for merchant payout, settlement, and account-related systems
Design scalable and efficient transaction processing workflows
Ensure system accuracy, reliability, and operational efficiency
Partnership & Ecosystem Management
Establish and manage integrations with financial institutions and payment partners
Collaborate with external stakeholders to deliver seamless financial services
Oversee ongoing partner operations and performance
Compliance & Risk Management
Design and maintain processes aligned with financial regulations (e.g., KYC, AML)
Ensure adherence to applicable payment and fund transfer laws
Monitor and mitigate operational and financial risks
Strategy & Market Analysis
Conduct competitor and market research within fintech, wallets, and BaaS domains
Develop product strategies to improve adoption, accuracy, and profitability
Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
Post-Launch Optimization
Track KPIs such as transaction accuracy, usage rates, and revenue growth
Implement data-driven improvements to enhance product performance
Continuously refine user experience and operational workflows
Required Qualifications
Experience as a Product Manager in fintech (e.g., payments, remittance, digital wallets, or banking APIs)
Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks
Proven ability to define product requirements and execute based on data insights
Business-level Japanese and professional communication skills in English or another language
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with licensed financial services or fund transfer businesses
Background in fintech startups or new product development within financial institutions
Experience designing financial systems such as dashboards or back-office tools
