What the job entails
As Lead Engineer, you will take the technical lead within a scrum-based development team delivering prototype-led product development for enterprise co-creation projects and, where appropriate, internal ventures. Your role is to maximise the team’s output by helping to shape tasks, guide delivery, remove blockers and ensure the technical approach supports rapid hypothesis testing and iteration.
You will work closely with designers, clients and other stakeholders from the early stages of projects, contributing to requirements definition, solution design and implementation. The environment is highly collaborative and often starts from an unclear brief, so you will help translate evolving ideas into practical, testable outputs such as mock-ups, prototypes and production-ready services.
You will also support delivery across modern cloud and application stacks, encouraging good engineering practices, effective communication and continuous improvement.
Key requirements / What we look for
Experience leading teams of 3+ engineers in web or native application development
3+ years in requirements definition, solution design and implementation
Experience working with customers and managing stakeholder discussions
Agile development experience, ideally using Scrum
Hands-on development experience with public cloud platforms and Git
Strong ownership, collaboration and problem-solving mindset
