Position Overview
The Product Manager will be responsible for driving local product launches, campaign execution, forecasting, and marketing material development for the Japan market.
This role works closely with regional and cross-functional teams to ensure successful go-to-market execution, strong sales performance, and brand consistency across both retail and e-commerce channels.
The position is ideal for a marketing professional with hands-on luxury or beauty industry experience and strong commercial planning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Local Launch & Campaign Execution
Build and execute local product launch plans aligned with global strategies
Support launches across both:
Brick-and-mortar retail channels
E-commerce platforms
Localize global marketing campaigns for Japanese consumers while maintaining luxury brand standards
Plan and execute exclusive initiatives including:
POP-up events
VIP / Gaisho campaigns
Adapt global marketing assets and concepts for the local market
Marketing Tools & Material Development
Lead development of local marketing materials including:
Leaflets
Brochures
Product catalogs
In-store POS materials
Prepare creative briefs for agencies and internal stakeholders
Review and approve copy, layouts, and final deliverables
Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements
Sales Forecasting & Business Planning
Own Net Sales and Retail Sales forecasting for assigned product categories
Support pricing strategy development in collaboration with Global and Finance teams
Monitor product margin performance and identify improvement opportunities
Work closely with Sales and Finance on demand planning and forecast management
Analyze sales performance against forecast and recommend corrective actions when necessary
Product & Market Support
Support product lifecycle management including:
Product launches
Promotional animations
Product discontinuations
Monitor:
Market trends
Competitive activity
Consumer insights
Act as a liaison between regional headquarters and local cross-functional teams
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track campaign and product performance after launch
Prepare reports, presentations, and business reviews for internal stakeholders and regional teams
Evaluate effectiveness of marketing tools and promotional initiatives
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in:
Marketing
Business
Related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in:
Product Management
Brand Marketing
Related commercial marketing roles
Experience within:
Luxury brands
Beauty industry
Skincare industry preferred
Required Experience
Hands-on experience in:
Local product launch planning
Marketing campaign execution
Marketing material development (POSM, brochures, catalogs, etc.)
Net Sales and/or Retail Sales forecasting
Cross-functional collaboration within global and local organizations
Preferred Experience
Experience working within global HQ-affiliate structures
Experience collaborating with CRM teams
Luxury retail or prestige beauty market experience
