Position: Product Planner

Overview
This role is responsible for planning product sales and on-air strategies across various timeframes—from annual planning to individual program execution. Working under a planning manager, the position focuses on maximizing productivity and achieving category sales targets through effective inventory control, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & On-Air Planning
Develop sales and broadcast plans for products and brands, including new product launches
Define financial direction and manage performance metrics such as sales and productivity
Create and manage program scripts and sales frameworks to optimize performance
Demand Forecasting & Inventory Management
Forecast sales by program and time slot, ensuring appropriate inventory levels
Manage reorders, returns, and stock optimization to improve efficiency
Implement structured processes to streamline inventory control
Category Strategy & Collaboration
Partner with buying teams to develop and execute category strategies and sales plans
Work closely with broadcasting teams to plan program content, timing, and promotional activities
Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth execution of on-air and inventory-related operations
Performance Analysis & Optimization
Conduct program performance reviews and data analysis
Identify underperforming programs and implement adjustments or replacements
Prepare proposals for key promotional products based on historical data and forecasting
Planning & Scheduling
Manage monthly program entries and optimize scheduling plans
Take ownership of assigned responsibilities while adhering to company policies and procedures
Key Stakeholders
Merchandising teams (buyers, planners, assistants)
Broadcasting teams (producers, presenters, operators)
E-commerce teams
External vendors
Qualifications
Experience (one of the following required):
Around 3 years of experience in retail (merchandising, distribution, sales, or sales planning), OR
Around 3 years of experience in CRM, sales data analysis, or demand forecasting in a B2C environment
Skills
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or above
