What the job entails

As a Public Affairs Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading projects from planning through to execution, while acting as a key point of contact for clients. You will help shape and deliver public affairs, government relations and strategic communications work across a range of accounts, ensuring high-quality outcomes and smooth coordination between internal and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for research, analysis, drafting and editing materials such as reports, briefs, proposals and presentations, as well as preparing talking points and briefing notes for meetings and stakeholder engagement. You will also support or lead client relationships depending on experience, contribute to business development and marketing activity, and help improve internal processes such as research workflows, onboarding and knowledge management. Key requirements / What we look for
  • 3–7+ years’ experience in consulting, government-related or communications roles

  • Strong written and spoken Japanese and English at business level or above

  • Excellent organisation, research, analysis and drafting skills

  • Confident stakeholder management and client-facing ability

  • Adaptable, self-starting and culturally aware, with strong attention to detail
