Overview
A global retail organization is seeking an SAP Specialist / Expert to support the stable operation and optimization of core business systems, primarily ERP (SAP). This role plays a key part in driving business efficiency and growth by managing system enhancements, leading upgrade projects, and collaborating with global teams.
You will work in alignment with global systems and contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA implementation, within a collaborative and international environment.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing and improving core ERP systems, leading system upgrades, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role also involves vendor management, troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across business processes.
Key Responsibilities
ERP System Management
Manage and optimize core business systems, primarily SAP
Support administration and implementation of SAP HANA
Ensure stable system operations and performance
Project Management & System Upgrades
Lead end-to-end SAP upgrade projects, including S/4HANA implementation
Handle planning, stakeholder coordination, and execution
Drive system enhancements aligned with global standards
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with and manage external vendors and partners
Coordinate with internal stakeholders across functions
Support incident response and communication
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
Perform root cause analysis and resolve system issues
Manage change requests from requirement definition to implementation
Drive process visualization, optimization, and standardization
Operations & Governance
Manage ticketing processes using tools such as JIRA
Ensure prioritization, progress tracking, and quality control
Promote security and compliance initiatives
Qualifications
Required
Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP), including operations or implementation
Hands-on experience in IT projects or system improvement initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams
Business-level English proficiency
Preferred
Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation and management
Knowledge of retail and/or e-commerce systems
Experience with POS system operations and management
Additional Information
Salary
Annual salary: 5.5M – 7.5M JPY (including bonus)
Annual salary review and bonus structure available
