What the job entails
As a Senior Consultant within a specialist AI and data science team, you will help clients address business challenges through the practical application of large language models and generative AI. You will work directly with clients, combining technical expertise with commercial understanding to deliver solutions that create measurable value.
You will lead the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, from requirements gathering and problem definition through to solution design, development, deployment and production operation. Your responsibilities will include designing and building LLM-based AI agents, developing prototypes, and creating architectures incorporating retrieval-augmented generation, tool integration and multi-agent approaches.
You will also design prompts, establish evaluation pipelines and drive continuous improvements in solution quality. Working across cloud environments, you will support implementation and deployment while coordinating projects and communicating technical concepts clearly to clients and other stakeholders.
Key requirements
At least one year’s experience designing and developing systems using LLMs or generative AI.
At least three years’ software development experience using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript or a comparable programming language.
Experience gathering requirements, clarifying business challenges and proposing solutions to clients or internal stakeholders.
Practical experience building and operating solutions in at least one major cloud environment, such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Native-level Japanese language proficiency.
Experience using AI-agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or AutoGen.
Experience designing prompt-engineering approaches, LLM evaluation methods or RAG pipelines.
Familiarity with observability practices, including structured logging and distributed tracing, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
Experience leading systems integration or consulting projects and progressing initiatives from proof of concept through to production.
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and technical communication skills.
Working-level English reading and writing ability.
A proactive learning mindset, with the ability to research emerging technologies, form hypotheses and create structured validation plans.
