Overview
A publicly listed technology company focused on digital assets and financial innovation is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications. This position will work closely with product and business stakeholders to deliver new features, improve existing platforms, and support integration with external systems. The environment is fast-paced, international, and English-speaking, offering flexibility for both Tokyo-based and remote professionals.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using modern full-stack technologies
• Build responsive and user-friendly frontend experiences using Next.js and TypeScript
• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and business logic using Node.js
• Integrate and manage third-party APIs to support new functionality and reliable data flows
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Ensure code quality, security, performance, and maintainability through best practices and code reviews
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical architecture
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack development experience
• Hands-on experience with Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL in production environments
• Experience integrating third-party APIs into commercial applications
• Native-level English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within startup or high-growth environments
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Interest in fintech, digital assets, blockchain, or cryptocurrency-related products
• Experience working in distributed or remote-first teams
