What the job entails

The Assistant Director of Finance is a key member of the Finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance and supporting the day-to-day management of the hotel’s finance function. This role ensures financial operations are carried out in compliance with company policies and local statutory requirements, with responsibility spanning finance, purchasing, and stores/receiving operations.

You will oversee financial analysis and reporting, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, income audit, revenue capture, payment reconciliation, and cash control. You will also support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, audits, and internal controls, while partnering with department leaders to monitor performance and drive sound financial decisions. In addition, this role requires strong leadership, coaching, and collaboration to support team development and maintain an efficient, accountable, and positive working environment.

Key requirements / What we look for

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar managerial finance role; pre-opening hotel experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance and accounting

  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting information

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; hotel systems experience preferred [suggestion: SUN/PAS and Purchase Plus]
