What the job entails
As an Investment Analyst, you will play a central role in sourcing opportunities, evaluating investments, and supporting portfolio companies after acquisition. Working closely with senior investment professionals, you will help identify and engage with business owners, founders, intermediaries, and management teams across Japan.
The role combines financial analysis with relationship-building and hands-on execution. You will assist with outreach, meetings, due diligence, valuation work, financial modeling, investment memoranda, and market research. You will also contribute to post-investment monitoring and value creation efforts, gaining exposure to the full investment lifecycle in a fast-moving, unstructured environment.
Key requirements / What we look for
2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, financial services, or a similar client-facing environment
Strong interest in deal sourcing and direct engagement with business owners and entrepreneurs
Solid financial analysis, valuation, and modeling skills
Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation abilities
Native-level Japanese; business-level English is a plus
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
