What the job entails
This Analyst / Associate role sits within the Japan ventures team and supports technology and healthcare investments across the full investment lifecycle. Working closely with senior team members and deal leaders, you will contribute to identifying, analyzing, and monitoring investment opportunities, while also helping with deal execution, portfolio management, and reporting.
Your work will include market and company research, financial analysis, due diligence, valuation support, and preparation of investment materials such as memos and presentation decks. You will also help assess exit scenarios, maintain portfolio reporting, and support strategic projects, financing events, and reviews. In addition, the role offers the opportunity to source deals and build relationships across the venture ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, and other industry stakeholders.
Key requirements / What we look for
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree [suggestion: preferred].
2-7 years of experience, ideally in investment banking or consulting.
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and Excel/PowerPoint skills.
Fluent Japanese and good English; experience in multicultural environments.
Demonstrated interest in venture capital, especially technology or healthcare.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
