Position Overview
The Analytics Engineer will play a critical role in building and scaling the organization’s data foundation. This position focuses on data governance, data modeling, analytics infrastructure, and stakeholder enablement, ensuring that business users can efficiently access reliable, high-quality data.
Working closely with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders, the successful candidate will help establish enterprise-wide data standards, develop scalable analytics solutions, and promote a strong data-driven culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Platform & Governance
Support the development and execution of global data management and governance strategies.
Define and manage data requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and analytics users.
Establish processes that prevent data silos and improve organization-wide data accessibility.
Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are maintained across analytical environments.
Manage metadata and data documentation to improve transparency and discoverability.
Data Modeling & Analytics Engineering
Design and develop scalable data models and data marts aligned with business requirements.
Build and maintain analytics-ready datasets that support reporting and decision-making.
Balance business requirements, governance policies, and technical constraints to deliver optimal data solutions.
Optimize data structures and access methods while managing storage and operational costs.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve platform architecture and usability.
Dashboard Development & Stakeholder Enablement
Partner with analysts and business teams to develop dashboards and reporting solutions.
Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable analytics products.
Support ongoing dashboard maintenance, enhancements, and performance improvements.
Deliver data literacy initiatives, training programs, and adoption support across the organization.
Create and maintain technical and business documentation related to data assets and analytics processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business domains and data requirements.
Facilitate communication between business users, analysts, and engineering teams.
Promote best practices in data utilization and self-service analytics.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across analytics and data governance functions.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as:
Analytics Engineer,
Data Analyst,
Data Engineer, or
Similar data-focused role.
At least 2 years of experience designing and maintaining:
Data marts,
Reporting environments,
Dashboard solutions.
Strong SQL expertise.
Experience using Git-based version control systems such as GitHub.
Experience building and operating analytics environments on cloud platforms such as:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience developing production deliverables through collaborative code review processes.
Native-level or JLPT N1-equivalent Japanese communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Business-level English communication skills.
Experience with enterprise data governance frameworks such as DMBOK.
Experience using modern analytics engineering tools including:
dbt
Dataform
Experience implementing CI/CD processes and automation.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Experience establishing enterprise-wide data management practices.
Familiarity with modern analytics platform operations and governance frameworks.
