What the Job Entails
As an Associate, Real Estate, you will support the evaluation, execution, and management of real estate investments in Japan. Based in Tokyo and working onsite, you will conduct market and investment analysis, assess financial performance, support due diligence, and contribute to the preparation of investment recommendations.
You will work closely with internal teams, external advisors, operating partners, and other stakeholders throughout the investment lifecycle. Responsibilities will include reviewing business plans, analyzing property and portfolio performance, monitoring investments, preparing reports and presentations, and supporting transaction execution. The role offers broad exposure to institutional real estate investing and the opportunity to develop expertise within a global, collaborative investment environment.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, business, or a related discipline.
Professional experience in real estate investment, private equity, investment banking, asset management, consulting, or a related field.
Strong financial modeling and investment analysis capabilities, including the ability to evaluate cash flows, returns, valuations, and sensitivities.
Understanding of real estate markets, property-level performance, transactions, and investment structures.
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prepare clear investment materials, reports, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Strong communication and relationship-management skills when working with internal and external partners.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative, international environment.
Professional fluency in English and Japanese, both written and spoken.
High integrity, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a long-term approach to investment decision-making.
Willingness to work onsite in Tokyo on a permanent basis.
