What the job entails

As Brand Ambassador, you will drive the performance and visibility of luxury eyewear brands across wholesale accounts in Tokyo and the wider Kanto region. You will build strong relationships with department stores, specialty retailers, merchandise managers, store managers, and sales associates.

Your responsibilities will include planning account activities and store visits, achieving sell-in and sell-out targets, supporting new collection launches, and ensuring appropriate product assortment and inventory levels. You will also improve in-store visibility, maintain visual merchandising standards, and protect the premium brand image.

You will deliver product, brand, and trade marketing training to retail partners, while monitoring competitor activity and analyzing sales performance. Regular reporting and customer feedback will help inform commercial decisions and strengthen retail partnerships. The role requires domestic travel to suburban Kanto areas and includes close collaboration with the Tokyo sales team.

Key requirements
  • Native-level Japanese language proficiency.

  • At least one or two years of sales experience; experience in fashion, luxury, cosmetics, or FMCG is preferred.

  • A genuine interest in fashion, luxury products, and premium retail.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Commercially minded, results-oriented, and comfortable working toward sales and visit-frequency KPIs.

  • Ability to manage relationships with department stores and specialty retailers.

  • Understanding of sell-in, sell-out, product assortment, inventory, and selective distribution.

  • Experience with trade marketing or visual merchandising is advantageous.

  • Strong reporting and business communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Willingness to travel within the Kanto region.

  • A valid driver’s license is required for domestic business travel.

  • Collaborative, proactive, organized, and capable of working effectively in a field-based role.
