Company Overview
A global technology organization specializing in telecommunications infrastructure and next-generation cloud solutions is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to support deployment and operational activities for telecom cloud environments supporting 4G/5G network services.
Role Overview
This position is responsible for supporting telecom cloud infrastructure deployments and providing technical troubleshooting for virtualized and cloud-native network environments. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and customer teams to ensure stable and efficient infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Support
Perform L2 troubleshooting across cloud and telecom infrastructure environments.
Investigate Linux operating system issues and platform-related incidents.
Support virtualization and container-based environments.
Troubleshoot cloud networking issues including VLANs, bonding, and routing.
Analyze logs and system events to identify root causes.
Escalate defects and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
Support software upgrades, maintenance activities, and platform enhancements.
Utilize scripting and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and deployment records.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with Linux administration, including RHEL and/or Ubuntu environments.
Understanding of virtualization technologies and KVM concepts.
Experience working with container technologies such as Docker.
Exposure to cloud platforms including OpenStack and Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
Knowledge of VLANs, routing concepts, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
Understanding of telecom cloud technologies including:
4G/5G Core Network Architecture
NFV (Network Functions Virtualization)
SDN (Software Defined Networking)
VNF (Virtual Network Functions)
CNF (Cloud Native Functions)
MANO Frameworks
Experience or exposure to Telecom Cloud Orchestration platforms.
Language Requirements
Business-level Japanese and English communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Profile
Experience supporting telecom cloud deployments in customer-facing environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively across engineering and operations teams.
Comfortable working in dynamic project and deployment environments.
Interest in cloud-native technologies and next-generation telecommunications infrastructure.
Experience Required
1–3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, telecom systems, network engineering, or related technical environments.
