What the job entails

As Commercial QA Specialist, you will support the quality and compliance of commercial activities, helping ensure that processes, documentation and customer-facing practices meet the company’s required standards. You will work closely with commercial, quality and other relevant teams to identify risks, maintain effective controls and promote consistent ways of working.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing and improving commercial processes, supporting the preparation and maintenance of quality documentation, monitoring adherence to procedures, and contributing to investigations and corrective actions where required. You will also help raise awareness of quality requirements across the organisation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is based in Tokyo and is suited to a detail-oriented professional who can combine sound judgement with a practical, collaborative approach in a regulated healthcare environment.

Key requirements
  • Experience in quality assurance, quality management, compliance or a related commercial support function, ideally within healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceuticals or another regulated industry.

  • A good understanding of quality principles, controlled processes, documentation and continuous improvement.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks, inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement.

  • Ability to review information objectively and translate quality requirements into clear, practical actions.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence working across commercial and functional teams.

  • A structured and organised approach to managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Sound judgement, discretion and a strong commitment to integrity and professional standards.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; Japanese-language capability suitable for working in the Tokyo business environment.

  • Relevant higher education or professional qualification in quality, life sciences, business, healthcare or a related discipline.
