What the Job Entails

As a Customer Quality Management Engineer, you will serve as a key link between customers and internal technical and manufacturing teams. You will provide quality support throughout product development, production launch, and high-volume manufacturing, ensuring customer requirements are understood and addressed effectively.

Your responsibilities will include investigating customer quality issues, coordinating root-cause analysis, supporting corrective and preventive actions, and communicating progress and technical findings to customers. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality functions to identify improvement opportunities and help ensure consistent product performance.

The role is based onsite in Tokyo and includes up to 25% travel within Asia and the United States. It offers the opportunity to apply semiconductor expertise in a highly collaborative, international environment while influencing product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in the semiconductor industry; approximately five years of experience is preferred.

  • Experience supporting customers during product development, production launch, and high-volume manufacturing.

  • Working knowledge of semiconductor device physics.

  • Strong customer communication and relationship-management skills.

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical-thinking abilities.

  • The confidence to influence stakeholders and coordinate effectively across technical and business teams.

  • A self-motivated, goal-oriented approach and the ability to contribute positively as a team member.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% within Asia and the United States.

  • Availability to work onsite in Tokyo, Japan.
