What the job entails
The Demand Planner, Japan plays a pivotal role in developing and coordinating the Sales & Operations Planning process across the market. This position owns the demand planning process end to end, ensuring a robust operational forecast, strong governance of planning systems and processes, and full alignment with the regional planning cycle.
The role is responsible for data integrity, forecast aggregation, and performance reporting to support decision-making by the regional Supply Chain team and local management. It also serves as a key link between Supply Chain Planning and the business unit, driving continuous improvement, facilitating inventory policy decisions, and reviewing demand and supply performance. In addition, the role leads forecast accuracy tracking, supports system maintenance in SAP IBP, and trains key users across Sales, Marketing, FP&A, and Supply Chain.
Key requirements / What we look for
5-10 years of demand/supply chain planning experience in consumer goods
Strong knowledge of forecasting methods, S&OP/IBP, and end-to-end supply chain processes
Hands-on experience with demand planning systems is highly desirable
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; fluent in English
