What the job entails

This Equity Analyst role sits within the firm’s Fundamental Equities business in Tokyo and is focused on developing high-quality investment ideas through rigorous company-specific research and financial analysis. Working closely with a portfolio manager and broader team, you will learn the investing process, exchange insights, debate ideas, and help identify cross-sector themes and emerging opportunities.

Core responsibilities include building and refining detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation work for public companies; conducting fundamental research across companies, industries, and subsectors; and incorporating macroeconomic and industry developments into your analysis. You will also attend conferences and industry events, build relationships with sell-side counterparts, and develop actionable investment recommendations for direct presentation to the portfolio manager. The role requires close alignment with the firm’s commitment to ethics and high professional standards.

Key requirements / What we look for
  • 1+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, hedge funds, investment management, private equity, or a related role
