What the job entails

As Floor Manager, you will play a key leadership role within a flagship Tokyo store, supporting the Store Manager in delivering strong sales and commercial performance. You will lead from the shop floor, motivate and develop the team, and turn commercial priorities into effective daily action.

Your responsibilities will include driving sales initiatives, monitoring performance, supporting operational human resources activities and contributing to recruitment, particularly for Sales Adviser positions. You will help create a high-performing culture through clear direction, coaching and effective people management.

This is a permanent role for an energetic retail leader who enjoys combining commercial thinking with hands-on team leadership. You will work closely with the Store Manager and wider store team to improve performance, maintain operational standards and deliver the company’s customer and brand experience.

Key requirements
  • Proven experience in fashion retail, ideally with an international brand.

  • Strong commercial mindset with a clear focus on sales performance and sales-driving initiatives.

  • Experience leading, motivating and developing retail teams.

  • Practical people-management experience, including coaching and performance support.

  • Experience with operational human resources activities and recruiting Sales Advisers.

  • Ability to translate commercial objectives into clear, effective shop-floor actions.

  • Confident decision-maker with a structured and analytical approach to challenges.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work at pace in a high-volume flagship retail environment.

  • A hands-on, proactive leadership style and genuine interest in developing others.

  • English-language communication skills are not required for this position.
