What the Job Entails

As a Full-Stack QA Engineer, you will join the Product Group and support the renewal of core banking systems and the continued improvement of platform quality. You will drive quality assurance across mobile applications, web platforms, APIs, and microservices through a combination of automated and manual testing.

Your responsibilities will include creating test scenarios and cases, managing test data and environments, maintaining testing tools and CI/CD pipelines, and tracking defects through resolution. You will report QA activities, serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned modules, and mentor junior engineers.

You will also help advance modern quality practices by using AI tools, prompt engineering, OpenAI APIs, MCP integrations, and retrieval-augmented generation validation to strengthen test design and product reliability. The role is based in Japan and follows a hybrid working model.

Key Requirements
  • At least three years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests for mobile applications, web platforms, or APIs.

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of Appium, Playwright, Selenium, or Rest-Assured, together with Cucumber.

  • Programming experience in Python or Java.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Bitrise.

  • Understanding of microservices architectures, test environments, test data management, and defect tracking.

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Bash scripting.

  • Knowledge of AI productivity tools, OpenAI APIs, MCP concepts, prompt engineering, or validation of AI-based systems.

  • Business-conversational English and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment.

  • Strong analytical, communication, ownership, and mentoring skills.

  • [ISTQB certification, fintech or payments experience, and Japanese-language proficiency at JLPT N1 or N2 level are advantageous.]

  • [Experience with performance-testing tools such as Gatling, wrk, or JMeter is advantageous.]
