This role will act as a key partner to business leaders, aligning HR strategies with business objectives while supporting organizational growth, workforce planning, and talent development.
Position Summary
The HR Business Partner will serve as the main point of contact for employees and management, providing both strategic and operational HR support. The role involves partnering closely with leadership to drive performance, organizational effectiveness, and talent management across the business.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers
Provide guidance on HR policies, labor law, and employee relations
Identify organizational gaps and implement improvements
Talent Management & Organizational Development
Design and execute succession planning strategies
Support talent development and retention initiatives
Drive performance management and employee engagement programs
Leadership Support & Coaching
Partner with senior leaders to develop organizational strategies
Provide coaching and support for leadership decision-making
Facilitate difficult conversations and change initiatives
Workforce Planning
Support workforce planning and productivity initiatives
Identify talent gaps and propose actionable solutions
Align workforce strategies with business objectives
HR Strategy & Transformation
Align HR strategies with global frameworks and local business needs
Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and systems
Act as a bridge between global HR and local business operations
Employee Relations & Change Management
Act as an internal consultant on employee relations matters
Support organizational change and transformation initiatives
Promote positive workplace culture and engagement
Qualifications
Required
10+ years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, or related fields
Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Fluent Japanese and business-level English
Experience in performance management, talent development, and organizational design
Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
Proven ability to partner with senior leadership
Preferred
Experience working in matrix organizations
Experience in cross-functional or cross-divisional roles
Strong coaching and influencing skills for senior stakeholders
Experience in HR transformation or change management
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
