Overview

An international technology-focused organization is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to lead its Management Section in Japan.

This position plays a critical role in strengthening operational infrastructure and supporting business expansion across Japan operations. The role oversees legal, contract management, accounting operations, compliance, and business process optimization while coordinating closely with regional and global stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative leadership experience within engineering services, technology, consulting, or SI-related industries, along with the ability to drive operational standardization and governance initiatives in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and delivery support operations, including legal, contract, and accounting functions

• Review contracts, negotiate terms, and improve contract management processes and frameworks

• Manage legal risk and support the establishment of internal regulations and compliance structures

• Oversee accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly closing, year-end closing, and audit support

• Lead business process standardization and operational efficiency initiatives

• Design and implement optimized business processes and operational workflows

• Coordinate with regional and global stakeholders and provide operational reporting

• Support governance and compliance initiatives across the organization

• Drive internal operational improvements aligned with organizational growth

Required Qualifications

• Management experience within administrative functions in engineering services, technology, SI, or consulting industries

• Practical experience leading legal or contract management operations

• Experience overseeing accounting operations including accounts receivable/payable and monthly closing

• Proven experience driving business process design and standardization initiatives

• Strong communication and documentation skills for internal and external stakeholders

• Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of engineering services or SI business models

• Bookkeeping certification (Level 2 or above)

• Audit support experience and knowledge of IFRS or USGAAP

• Experience establishing compliance and governance frameworks

• Experience using BI tools such as Power BI for data visualization and reporting
