RKETING MANAGER – ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead Mikuni Wine’s marketing department and ensure alignment
with the company’s strategic objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategy & Leadership
• Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy.
• Set objectives and KPIs and ensure alignment across functions.
• Coordinate work across brand management, PR/events, and marketing support.
2. Team Management
• Supervise 7 team members.
• Oversee performance, development, and workflow.
• Lead by example through participation in events and presentations.
3. Budget & Reporting
• Manage the marketing budget.
• Report performance and ROI to management.
• Monitor producers’ activity reports.
4. Internal & External Collaboration
• Work closely with sales, operations, and other teams.
• Lead marketing reviews and support brand development.
• Assist the Managing Director during key meetings.
• Maintain relationships with agencies, media, and partners.
5. Digital & Innovation
• Drive digital initiatives and encourage innovative approaches.
• Stay updated on new technologies.
• Lead strategic projects and strengthen company visibility.
6. Market & Competitor Analysis
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Identify opportunities for growth.
• Guide market research to support strategy.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in marketing or sales, including 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the Japanese market and international environments.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English; additional languages welcomed.
• Knowledge of the Japanese wine market; JSA or WSET certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
• High organizational ability, creativity, and financial acumen.
