Overview
A global renewable energy company is seeking a Marketing Specialist / Coordinator to support branding, marketing execution, and event operations for the Japan market.
This role will work closely with local and regional stakeholders to coordinate marketing initiatives, manage exhibitions and events, support channel marketing activities, and strengthen brand communication within the renewable energy industry.
The successful candidate will play an important role in driving market visibility, supporting distributor engagement, and enhancing brand presence across Japan.
Key Responsibilities
Japan Market Project Coordination
Coordinate and execute marketing and branding initiatives for the Japan market
Collaborate cross-functionally with:
Sales
Product
Technical
Supply Chain
Global Brand teams
Support implementation of marketing plans through:
Timeline management
Resource coordination
Budget tracking
Post-project evaluations
Support collaboration with local partners and channel distributors to improve market penetration and operational efficiency
Event & Exhibition Management
Plan and execute:
Seminars
Customer events
Channel training sessions
Product launch activities
Organize and manage major renewable energy exhibitions in Japan, including PV Expo Tokyo and similar industry events
Coordinate booth planning, marketing materials, logistics, on-site execution, and post-event activities
Liaise with exhibition organizers and external vendors regarding:
Booth design and construction
Logistics coordination
Installation and dismantling
Brand Communication & Marketing Content
Support localized brand communication activities for the Japanese market
Develop and manage:
Press releases
Brochures
Social media content
Case studies
Presentations
Videos
Posters
Product manuals
Work closely with headquarters and regional teams to localize product messaging and ensure alignment with Japanese language and cultural expectations
Channel Marketing Support
Collaborate with distributors and channel partners on co-marketing initiatives
Support channel enablement through:
Training materials
Sales tools
Marketing templates
Collect partner feedback and contribute to marketing strategy optimization
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor:
Market trends
Competitor activity
Industry developments
Renewable energy policies in Japan
Analyze:
Event performance
Media exposure
Lead generation metrics
Prepare monthly and quarterly marketing reports
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in:
Marketing
Communications
Business
Engineering
Related fields
1–3 years of experience in:
Marketing
Event management
Exhibition management
Experience in renewable energy, solar, or energy storage industries is preferred
Strong project coordination and cross-functional communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with the full event and exhibition lifecycle including:

Post-event evaluation
Strong copywriting and content development abilities for B2B marketing materials
Strong stakeholder management and multitasking capability
Language Requirements
Japanese: Native or business-level proficiency
English: Business-level communication ability
Chinese language skills are a plus
