What the Job Entails
The Marketing Manager will lead marketing activities for a well-established international lifestyle brand in Japan. Based in Tokyo, this role will be responsible for strengthening brand awareness, engaging target customers, and supporting commercial growth through effective, locally relevant marketing programs.
Key responsibilities will include developing and executing the Japan marketing plan, coordinating product launches and campaigns, managing brand communications, and working closely with sales, retail, e-commerce, creative, and global stakeholders. The Marketing Manager will translate global brand direction into compelling local initiatives while ensuring consistent execution across channels.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on marketing professional to shape the brand’s presence in Japan, use customer and market insights to guide decisions, and contribute to the continued development of a high-quality international portfolio.
Key Requirements
Several years of experience in marketing, brand management, or integrated communications within a consumer-facing business.
Experience developing and executing marketing plans from strategy through implementation and performance evaluation.
Strong understanding of the Japanese consumer market, including relevant retail, e-commerce, media, and social channels.
Demonstrated ability to manage product launches, brand campaigns, events, and other customer-facing initiatives.
Experience collaborating with international or cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage priorities, timelines, budgets, and external partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.
Commercial awareness and the ability to connect marketing activity with business objectives.
A creative, proactive, and customer-focused approach, combined with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while building effective relationships across teams and stakeholder groups.
