What the Job Entails

As a MuleSoft Solution Architect / Staff Engineer, you will design and lead scalable integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. You will establish API-led connectivity strategies, guide integration architecture, and oversee delivery from requirements analysis through deployment, testing, and production support.

You will also shape emerging AI-enabled integration capabilities, connecting enterprise APIs with large language models, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and autonomous agent ecosystems. The role includes supporting pre-sales activities by developing architectures, proposals, estimates, demonstrations, and proofs of concept for executive and technical stakeholders.

Working remotely from Tokyo, you will contribute to Center of Excellence initiatives, reusable integration assets, governance frameworks, and technical enablement across MuleSoft and adjacent integration platforms.

Key Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in integration architecture, software engineering, or a related field.

  • Expert knowledge of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including MuleSoft API Designer, RAML, and MuleSoft platform architecture.

  • Strong experience with MuleSoft Runtime Manager and API-led connectivity, including System, Process, and Experience APIs.

  • Proven ability to design resilient, scalable solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.

  • Experience with integration patterns such as message routing, content enrichment, guaranteed delivery, batch processing, distributed tracing, and automated reconciliation.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing, production support, and technical risk management.

  • Experience integrating APIs with LLMs, vector databases, RAG pipelines, Kafka, AsyncAPIs, or event-driven architectures.

  • Ability to lead RFP responses, solution proposals, technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept development.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to engage executives, architects, and delivery teams.

  • Working knowledge of adjacent platforms such as Boomi, Workato, Spring Boot, or Azure Integration Services.
