Role Overview
This position sits within the supply chain function of a global, grower-backed food company specializing in fresh produce. The organization is known for delivering premium-quality products through a highly coordinated, end-to-end supply chain.
Operating in a seasonal and perishable goods environment, this role is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining accuracy across logistics, financial processes, and internal systems. The position plays a key role in supporting operational reliability, compliance, and data integrity across the Japan business.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Documentation
Manage shipment documentation and confirm goods receipt
Coordinate with customs brokers and support import/export compliance processes
Handle ad-hoc and sample shipments as needed
Ensure accuracy of shipment data within ERP systems
Inventory & Data Management
Perform regular inventory reconciliation between warehouse partners and internal systems
Validate repacking outputs and outbound shipment data
Maintain accurate master data records
Monitor daily stock movement and loss, ensuring correct system updates
Financial & Administrative Support
Process purchase orders and invoices
Track operational budgets and support cost monitoring
Assist with financial reporting related to supply chain activities
Compliance & Operations Administration
Coordinate vendor onboarding and external partner management
Oversee procurement of office and operational supplies
Maintain asset records and support regulatory documentation
Assist with product quality-related documentation and testing coordination
Project & Seasonal Support
Support supply chain initiatives such as packaging trials
Provide operational support during peak seasonal periods
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or operational support
Experience handling imported goods within Japan is an advantage
Business-level English proficiency preferred
Technical Skills & Competencies
Understanding of logistics processes, inventory control, and supply chain operations
Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent)
Strong data reconciliation and analysis skills
Experience with purchase order and invoicing workflows
