Overview
A global technology and consulting organization is seeking an experienced PLM Project Manager to lead large-scale enterprise transformation programs. This role focuses on end-to-end delivery of package-based IT implementations, acting as the central point of contact across stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners.
You will play a key role in driving complex programs, ensuring alignment between business processes and system architecture while maintaining high delivery standards.
Position Summary
The PLM Project Manager will oversee full program lifecycle execution, from planning and solution design to delivery and optimization. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
Lead large-scale IT implementation programs as the single point of contact (SPOC)
Drive program scope, timelines, and deliverables
Ensure alignment between business goals and technology solutions
Stakeholder Management
Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and clients
Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
Solution Design & Delivery
Map business processes and design solution architecture
Provide both functional and technical guidance to implementation teams
Ensure adherence to SDLC processes and best practices
Program Governance
Monitor program progress and provide regular reporting
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with industry standards
Continuous Improvement
Promote innovation and continuous improvement across delivery teams
Optimize processes and delivery frameworks
Requirements
Core Requirements
15+ years of experience in IT consulting and package implementation projects
Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies
Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Stakeholder & Communication
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Experience working with Japanese clients
Ability to collaborate across global teams
Language
Japanese: Business level (N2 or above)
English: Business level (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) implementation programs
Domain expertise as a PLM consultant or subject matter expert
Experience working with product vendors and third-party partners
Valid Japan work authorization or Japanese nationality
