What the job entails
The Procurement Specialist will lead indirect procurement activities and support the business through strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation. This role is responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, running RFPs, developing category strategies, and ensuring procurement policies are followed. The position works closely with multiple departments to improve procurement transparency and streamline processes.
You will manage procurement categories such as vehicles, domestic and international travel, mobile devices, 3PL, and marketing. The role also covers Procure-to-Pay process management, including new vendor approval, budget support, and procurement reporting. In addition, you will review contracts, support signing processes, and manage procurement documents to reduce risk and maintain compliance.
Key requirements / What we look for
5+ years of domestic procurement experience and negotiation experience
Native-level Japanese or N1 with work experience
Business-level English reading comprehension; speaking is a plus
Strong stakeholder management, expenditure analysis, and RFP skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
