About the Role
The Regional Sales Director will lead strategic enterprise sales activities within Japan, focusing on large-scale IT and business services deals including Application Maintenance & Support (AMS), Total IT Outsourcing, and multi-year transformation programs.

This role requires a commercially driven sales leader with strong experience managing complex deal cycles, developing enterprise relationships, and collaborating with global delivery and solution teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence, driving profitable growth, and building long-term client partnerships across Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive net-new business growth and expand strategic sales pipelines in Japan

  • Lead large enterprise deal pursuits including multi-year outsourcing and managed services engagements

  • Generate profitable revenue from both new and existing client accounts

  • Develop additional revenue streams within existing customer organizations

  • Achieve revenue and gross margin targets

  • Develop and execute business plans to expand market presence and customer base

  • Conduct client-facing meetings, presentations, and executive-level relationship management

  • Collaborate with delivery teams, solution architects, and global centers of excellence

  • Work closely with partners, OEMs, consultants, and local ecosystem stakeholders

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities

  • Ensure timely invoice collection and payment management

  • Understand customer requirements and develop end-to-end value-driven solution proposals

  • Maintain strong knowledge of service offerings, market trends, and competitive positioning

Requirements

  • 20+ years of enterprise IT sales experience with a strong focus on large deal management

  • Proven experience driving large-scale contracts valued at approximately USD 8M–10M or above

  • Strong understanding of large enterprise deal structures and pursuit lifecycle management

  • Extensive network across the Japanese enterprise and technology ecosystem, including C-level stakeholders

  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills

  • Proficiency with CRM systems, account planning, pricing methodologies, and Microsoft Office tools

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Engineering degree from a recognized institution

  • Experience within global IT services, consulting, or outsourcing organizations

  • Experience selling digital transformation, cloud, outsourcing, or managed services solutions
