Role Overview

The company is seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive adoption of its educational and scientific solutions across universities and higher education institutions in Japan.

This role is suited for a proactive sales professional who is passionate about education, science, and technology, and who thrives in a remote and international working environment. The position involves managing the full sales cycle, developing territory strategies, and building long-term relationships with academic stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing

  • Achieve or exceed individual sales targets

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies and account plans

  • Conduct daily outreach to generate new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships

  • Deliver online and in-person product presentations to researchers, faculty members, and academic librarians

  • Analyze customer and sales trends to prioritize business opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns, projects, and sales initiatives

  • Attend conferences, exhibitions, and marketing events to promote products and expand market presence

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in EdTech, STEM publishing, or SaaS

  • Full professional proficiency in both Japanese and English

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms

  • Comfortable engaging with academic institutions and research professionals

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset

  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills
