Role Overview
The company is seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive adoption of its educational and scientific solutions across universities and higher education institutions in Japan.
This role is suited for a proactive sales professional who is passionate about education, science, and technology, and who thrives in a remote and international working environment. The position involves managing the full sales cycle, developing territory strategies, and building long-term relationships with academic stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
Achieve or exceed individual sales targets
Develop and execute territory sales strategies and account plans
Conduct daily outreach to generate new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships
Deliver online and in-person product presentations to researchers, faculty members, and academic librarians
Analyze customer and sales trends to prioritize business opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns, projects, and sales initiatives
Attend conferences, exhibitions, and marketing events to promote products and expand market presence
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in EdTech, STEM publishing, or SaaS
Full professional proficiency in both Japanese and English
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms
Comfortable engaging with academic institutions and research professionals
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
Willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills
