Sales Engineer (Laboratory Solutions)
Overview
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to support business growth within a global organization specializing in precision laboratory and industrial technologies
This role focuses on providing solution-based sales to clients in the life sciences and related sectors, while building strong customer and distributor relationships
The position combines technical expertise with commercial responsibility to drive market expansion in Japan
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution-Based Sales
Propose laboratory equipment and tailored solutions based on customer requirements
Understand client needs and provide technical recommendations to support decision-making
2. Distributor Management
Build and maintain strong partnerships with distributors
Monitor and support distributor performance to drive sales growth
3. Business Development
Identify opportunities to expand market share across key product categories
Develop strategies to grow presence within target industries
4. New Client Acquisition
Prospect and secure new customers, particularly within pharmaceutical and related sectors
Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients
5. Product Demonstration & Training
Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical training to customers
Support clients in effectively utilizing products and solutions
6. Business Contribution
Align sales activities with overall company targets and objectives
Contribute to revenue growth and market expansion initiatives
Candidate Requirements
Basic Requirements
Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, life sciences, or a related technical field
Experience in customer-facing roles such as B2B sales or application/technical support
Valid driver’s license
English proficiency (reading and writing)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in technical support or field service for laboratory equipment
Familiarity with CRM systems
English communication skills (spoken)
Industry experience in chemical, scientific, or related sectors (manufacturer or distributor side)
