Position Overview
This role is responsible for developing and expanding business opportunities related to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the pharmaceutical industry. The position combines consultative sales, solution advisory, stakeholder engagement, and business development activities, working closely with customers, implementation teams, and industry partners to support digital manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales activities to achieve revenue targets and expand business opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector.
Develop and manage relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
Provide consultative guidance on MES solutions and digital manufacturing strategies.
Conduct discovery workshops to understand operational challenges across Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, and IT functions.
Translate customer requirements into business value propositions and solution recommendations.
Position MES solutions within broader IT and operational technology ecosystems.
Develop account strategies involving plant leadership, quality teams, procurement, IT departments, and global stakeholders.
Lead proposal preparation, business case development, solution presentations, and commercial discussions.
Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, system integration partners, equipment vendors, and consulting partners throughout the sales cycle.
Manage sales pipeline activities, forecasting, opportunity tracking, and CRM reporting.
Support quotation, order management, invoicing, and commercial administration processes.
Represent the organization at pharmaceutical industry conferences, forums, and professional events.
Identify market trends and digital transformation opportunities within regulated manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, consulting, technical support, or business development roles involving manufacturing software or industrial systems.
Experience working with technologies such as MES, ERP, SCADA, DCS, LIMS, eQMS, or related manufacturing platforms.
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, project scope management, pricing structures, and project risks.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to engage both technical and business decision-makers.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including sterile manufacturing, biotechnology, API production, or solid dosage manufacturing.
Experience supporting digital transformation or IT/OT modernization initiatives.
Experience working within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, medical devices, or chemicals.
Familiarity with global and local stakeholder engagement in multinational environments.
Experience supporting software implementation projects or enterprise solution sales cycles.
Technical Knowledge
Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and manufacturing software ecosystems.
Knowledge of SCADA, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), ERP, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and Quality Management Systems (eQMS).
Familiarity with manufacturing system integrations, shop-floor architecture, and industrial data flows.
Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, including GxP, CSV, Data Integrity, and electronic records standards.
Experience preparing proposals, RFP/RFI responses, tenders, and solution documentation.
Ability to identify digitalization opportunities and design future-state manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of validation methodologies, implementation strategies, customer workshops, and solution demonstrations.
