Role Overview
This position is responsible for owning the entire sales lifecycle, from generating leads to closing deals, with full accountability for revenue outcomes. The role requires a proactive, strategic approach to developing new business and expanding client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, partnerships, and account development
Lead high-level, consultative sales discussions with senior stakeholders
Identify client challenges and translate them into compelling business cases, including ROI such as cost savings and efficiency improvements
Drive deal execution by managing stakeholders, timelines, budgets, and competitive positioning
Maintain deal momentum through structured follow-ups and negotiation processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver tailored solutions
Align client needs with product capabilities and roadmap
Pipeline & Performance Management
Track pipeline progress and ensure accurate forecasting
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding revenue targets

Requirements
Native-level Japanese and business-level English
Proven experience selling to financial institutions (e.g., banks, asset managers, or similar organizations)
Strong track record of independently closing complex B2B deals
Experience leading consultative, solution-based sales engagements
Ability to create ROI-driven proposals and communicate business value
High level of ownership, accountability, and execution discipline
Preferred Experience
Experience in early-stage or high-growth startup environments
Background in fintech, SaaS, or AI-related products
Knowledge of financial services, investment management, or data workflows
Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes
Experience building pipeline independently without relying on inbound leads
