Role Overview

This position is responsible for owning the entire sales lifecycle, from generating leads to closing deals, with full accountability for revenue outcomes. The role requires a proactive, strategic approach to developing new business and expanding client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, partnerships, and account development

  • Lead high-level, consultative sales discussions with senior stakeholders

  • Identify client challenges and translate them into compelling business cases, including ROI such as cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Drive deal execution by managing stakeholders, timelines, budgets, and competitive positioning

  • Maintain deal momentum through structured follow-ups and negotiation processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver tailored solutions

  • Align client needs with product capabilities and roadmap

Pipeline & Performance Management
  • Track pipeline progress and ensure accurate forecasting

  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding revenue targets

Requirements
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English

  • Proven experience selling to financial institutions (e.g., banks, asset managers, or similar organizations)

  • Strong track record of independently closing complex B2B deals

  • Experience leading consultative, solution-based sales engagements

  • Ability to create ROI-driven proposals and communicate business value

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and execution discipline

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in early-stage or high-growth startup environments

  • Background in fintech, SaaS, or AI-related products

  • Knowledge of financial services, investment management, or data workflows

  • Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes

  • Experience building pipeline independently without relying on inbound leads
