Lead mechanical design initiatives of new reliable robots that are scalable, cost eﬀective and manufacturable.
Develop assembly processes and tooling for assembly
Select optimal actuator (DC motors, stepping motors, air cylinders, etc) and power transmission mechanism (gears, timing belts, links, etc.) that enable product market ﬁt.
Maintain detailed BoMs and BoMs cost. Work closely with vendors on negotiating specs to meet cost
