A UK-based company which develops and sells nanopore sequencing products for the direct, electronic analysis of single moduels.
Direct Sales:
Responsibilities include planning and executing in-facility seminars, product promotions, and managing the full bidding and contract process.
Indirect Sales:
The candidate will coordinate with distributor strategies, pinpoint ideal customers, execute promotional activities, and offer insights to optimize growth opportunities. Support for distributors involves establishing and overseeing sales goals, facilitating sales initiatives, and making customer visits—either independently or alongside distributors (excluding Key Accounts)—while utilizing internal resources to help secure sales.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Formulate and implement strategies to increase sales and expand market share.
Oversee both direct and distributor sales (excluding Key Accounts), including negotiations, goal setting, strategic planning, and solution-based selling.
Partner with cross-functional teams to address customer requirements and achieve business objectives.
Leverage CRM tools to analyze customer accounts, monitor activities, and maintain accurate forecasting.
Provide updates on progress and future plans during regular sales meetings.
Develop and manage sales plans within the CRM system.
Prepare sales proposals and presentation materials for distributor meetings.
Experience / Qualifications / Attributes:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in a science field; molecular biology knowledge required.
Genomics or NGS contract service sales experience preferred.
Sales experience.
Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to build internal and external relationships.
Capable of working independently in a remote setup.
